This is an incredibly exciting day for us at Harmony. It marks the realization of a goal we barely dared dream of when we founded Harmony Natural Learning Center in Newbury, MA, in 2010, as a space for families of children 5 and under to engage in the joys of simple play together. At that time, we offered Parent/Child Classes for babies and toddlers, parent coaching, and parent workshops.
As word spread about Harmony and community demand grew, we began offering Preschool (ages 3-5), Transitional Preschool (ages 2-3), and eventually Multi-Track Kindergarten (ages 4-6). When families were forced to isolate at home during the pandemic, it also forced our hand to fulfill our long-held dream to create a homeschool curriculum, Harmony at Home, so homeschooling parents could continue to nurture their children through play-based learning utilizing our Harmony Approach to early education.
Today, we could not be more proud to have a thriving in-person school in Harmony Natural Learning Center, and as of this moment, to offer Harmony At Home play-based preschool curriculum to the world's parents and teachers via our brand new website shop: harmonycurriculum.com!
We would be thrilled if you would take a few minutes to explore (and share with your friends!) our newest baby, featuring the ever-growing collection of seasonal activities and curriculum that we lovingly and meticulously developed, classroom-tested, designed, and created together in 2020—and have continued to refine and improve ever since. Until now, we have offered our curriculum on a teachers’ curriculum website—and you can still find it there—but for us to truly expand our reach, we knew we needed to build our own dedicated online presence for Harmony at Home.
Harmony at Home is for Everyone
What we LOVE about Harmony at Home is its versatility—offering activities you can set up for your child to get lost in at home, and complete curriculum to engage and educate full classrooms of preschool students. Whether your intention is casual play or focused learning, you get both with everything we offer on our new site.
How To Choose YOUR ACTIVITIES
Harmony at Home curriculum is designed to be enjoyed along with the seasons. Each seasonal topic—for example, pumpkins—includes activities that naturally engage your 3-to-6-year-olds’ drive to play, while simultaneously (and oh-so-sneakily) educating them in the process.
Within each seasonal topic—again, let’s look at pumpkins, we offer packets of activities devoted to Math, Literacy (reading, letter identification, storytelling, etc.), Science (nature-based, inquiry-based, and including delicious themed recipes), and Art and Play (fine motor play, gross motor play, and sensory play galore in this category).
If your child has ever attended Harmony, you’ll feel a warm sense of familiarity when you explore these activities with your child—we developed and tested these in our classrooms, being sure to feature particular “fan favorites” of the little ones who have come through our doors over the years.
Harmony At Home Activities Are AffordablE
Because we’re moms (and teachers) too, we kept each of these activity packets super-affordable. You can buy any single-subject packet for just $4—or spring for a topic’s complete $12 bundle and receive all subjects (i.e. Pumpkins: Literacy, Math, Science, and Art & Play) for 25% savings. If you’re a mega-fan of Harmony at Home, or just want to have all activities at the ready, you can buy our entire seasonal curriculum collections in two volumes for another 20% savings. Whatever you choose, just complete the checkout process, download the digital files, print them at home, and enjoy!
When to Enjoy Harmony at Home Activities
Any of these packets or bundles are perfect to pull out on rainy days, snow days, vacation weeks, and weekends—anytime you want simple, wholesome, screen-free, educational fun to keep your children occupied. They also make great gifts for fellow parents (and take up ZERO space)!
